The Venezuelan Government delivered on Tuesday 18-A a bonus of about 4.5 dollars to independent workers registered as such in the Carnet de la Patria system, with the aim of preventing them from leaving home and being quarantined due to the covid pandemic. 19.
On the instruction of President Nicolás Maduro, the delivery of the “Special Bonus #QuedateEnCasa (August 2020) for the self-employed or self-employed”, reads a statement from the delivery system of said bonuses.
No official institution has made public the amount of the aid, but several users of social networks and local media have reported that it has a value of 1.3 million bolivars, which is slightly more than 4.4 dollars, according to the parallel market rate, and almost $ 4.5, according to the official rate.

The Carnet de la Patria system, with which these bonds are delivered, has been denounced by various opposition organizations, human rights organizations and even by the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), an ally of Chavismo, as a system of social control and of exclusion.
