JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Been in the automotive world for decades, name Teddy Irawan for some people are well known. Especially for the media and the community Nissan especially.
Now in the midst of a pandemic that is still ravaging Indonesia, the automotive world in the country is grieving the passing of Teddy. The friendly smiley man breathed his last on Tuesday (7/28/2020).
More or less Teddy spent 28 years in PT Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI), no wonder he was considered as one of the people who managed to echo the name Nissan in the country.

Even for some people who are very close and know him, both among friends or in his work environment, Teddy actually got the nickname as “Father Grand Livina“This is inseparable from his achievements in giving birth to the multi purpose vehicle (MPV) in 2007.
“He’s a sharp business intuitive, he’s the type who isn’t by the book but street smart. Why nicknamed Mr. Grand Livina, because he gave birth to his product, “said Indriani Hadiwidjaja who currently serves as General Manager of Sales and Volume Planning of Nissan South Africa to Kompas.com, Tuesday (7/28/2020).
“So from the planning to the success of Livina, it was thanks to him, and that moment also became a turning point for NMI, which entered into a major automotive player in Indonesia, roughly in 2007. I was quite close and impressed with his way of thinking,” he said .

More than 1,000 Livina units filled the Prambanan Temple area when LivinALife was held on Saturday (05/07/2016).-
Teddy has various strategic positions while he was in Nisaan, and most recently he served as Vice President of NMI’s Aftersales and Product Palnning & TCS (Total Customer Satisfaction) in 2016.
But not many people know, if the beginning when he first entered Nissan, his career was really initiated from the bottom, that is aftersales.
