Good news for the fans: VIVA Forum will remain online after all

Publisher DPG Media says ‘due to the amount of reactions to the intended decision’ it will keep the forum online.


Due to the declining circulation figures, publisher DPG Media recently decided to pull the plug.

‘Best news in months!!’

Under the message on the VIVA Forum the comments are pouring in of happy members. Calamitycat writes: “Wow. No joke? Best news in months this!!!” Though some think it’s a joke.

The director of DPG Media Magazines says in Trouw that it is not a joke. “We want to reassure our loyal fans and users that the forum will remain active and open to all users.”


The forum has 2.8 million users and has been in existence since 1999. “I am honored that people describe the platform as cultural heritage. Fortunately, the topics from the initial phase can still be found on the forum and some of them have been used for more than 10 years. years old,” says the director of DPG Media Magazines.

VIVA magazine first appeared on 7 October 1972. The last issue rolls off the printing press at the end of July.
