Golden Knights acquire Evgenii Dadonov from Senators

Vegas Golden Knights acquire Ottawa Senators forward Evgenii Dadonov in return for the defender Nick Holden and a third-round pick in 2022.

Dadonov will have spent only one season with the Senators, he who had accepted a three-year contract worth $ 5 million annually. The 32-year-old forward had 20 points, including 13 goals, in 55 games for the Canadian capital club last season.

Senators win Vancouver Canucks third-round pick, acquired in trade that sent defenseman Nate Schmidt release in British Columbia on October 12, 2020.

Holden played 17 games last season with the Golden Knights and had two assists. He had a good playoff series, recording two goals and five assists in 15 games.

Career Holden has had 143 points in 513 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins and Golden Knights. He recorded 17 points in 55 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Dadonov has 222 points in 335 games in eight NHL seasons with the Florida Panthers and Senators. He had an assist in four playoff games.

Brossoit to support Lehner

Vegas, who traded Marc-André Fleury to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, needed a reservist to come and help Robin Lehner.
