In May 2019, the Côte-d’Or firefighters paid tribute to the dog Gaïa, a Belgian Malinois shepherd who had operated for ten years from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis).
This Saturday, December 19, the firefighters mourn another companion, Cowboy, who had intervened for twelve years on many disasters. The 14-year-old Malinois had been retired since 2018.

Like his colleague Gaïa, Cowboy intervened during the explosion on rue Pierre-Palliot in Dijon, in September 2016. As the Sdis de la Côte-d’Or indicates, he had also participated in numerous searches for people. .
