The learning the company has undergone in Covid-19 has to do with the well-being and emotional health of employees.
The Colombian startup Globalwork, which is dedicated to optimizing hiring processes in companies, has seen a new business opportunity thanks to the #ContigoHoy campaign. The purpose of the campaign was to open a free emotional support line serving 40 Globalwork volunteer psychologists. The initiative was launched in early April and the idea is that people who are going through a bad time due to the crisis that has unleashed a pandemic can have psychological attention and obtain a guide in managing their emotions.
The company has served people in five Latin American countries, in addition to Colombia: Mexico, Peru, Panama, Ecuador and Argentina. The great scope that the initiative has had has allowed the company to expand its area of influence and connect with companies from other markets. Sebastián Henao, co-founder and CEO of Globalwork, was able to identify a business opportunity that has to do with employee well-being.

According to Henao, Globalwork would use Artificial Intelligence and Big Data to analyze the behavior of people in search of patterns, which will allow more specialized accompaniment for employees of different companies. What is wanted is to know the emotional condition of people to generate strategies that seek well-being and allow companies to retain their workers, increase their productivity and provide them with a more pleasant work space.

The idea with this new wellness line is to use technology to assess the emotional condition of people in order to recognize patterns and thus be able to provide specialized advice to companies, “said Sebastián Henao.
Globalwork was born in November 2017 and is in charge of the ooptimization of recruitment processes in companies through verification of information, home visits made by psychologists and security studies. The company, which began operations in Colombia, has already expanded to Panama and Mexico. In addition, it has a network of more than 200 psychologists in charge of making home visits.
