This Saturday, June 27, the Lima Pride March collective will carry out the activity called Pride Online, which will consist of a live broadcast with testimonies, an artistic show and a statement by the collective to claim the rights of the community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Where and at what time will the event be broadcast?
The activity, which has the motto “Our Pride is not in quarantine”, will start at 3 pm and will be broadcast from the official website of the Pride March group (www.facebook.com/marchadelorgullolima/), in which it will have links from the cities of Iquitos, Lambayeque and Barranca.
The event will have the participation of the congressmen Alberto de Belaunde and Daniel Olivares. The artistic show will be in charge of the singers Daniela Darcourt, Wendy Sulca and Sandra Muente.
“The COVID-19 health crisis has shown us that populations in vulnerable situations, such as the LGBTI community, are at greater risk in contexts like the current one. Therefore, there is an urgent need to protect us. We have been insisting that the debates on these norms (Equal Marriage Law and Gender Identity Law) begin in Congress as soon as possible. We need this debate – not tomorrow, not in a month, not in a year – we need it today, ”declared Congressman Alberto de Belaunde.
