Givenchy opens a boutique in New York and accelerates its retail growth

The Givenchy house is opening its sixth store in America, four years after the last opening on the territory. This second New York address inaugurates for the brand of the LVMH group the acceleration of retail development in the United States.

Located in Soho at 94 Greene Street, a stone’s throw from a Ladurée location and other luxury boutiques such as Stella McCartney and Versace, the new Givenchy store highlights its accessory segment. The ground floor is thus dedicated to bags and shoes, while men’s and women’s ready-to-wear occupies a lounge at the back of the store and on the first floor.

A “new chapter” for Givenchy

The store is the second Givenchy boutique in Manhattan. The brand indicates that its opening announces “a significant acceleration of its retail growth” in the United States. “This opening represents a new chapter for Givenchy, as we continue to grow our business in the United States and internationally,” the statement read.

The scenography of the place takes up the new retail concept of the house and is for the first time integrated into an American boutique. The design highlights contrasts of colors and materials, playing on the natural and industrial aspect. The place also exhibits sculptures designed in collaboration with the English artist Ewan McFarlane.
