Girl slaps man who tried to molest her on bus; Congratulations to the police

Mangalore: A young man who tried to molest her on a bus was arrested by the police and taken to the station. When the arrested accused was produced before the media, the angry girl slapped the accused in the arms in front of the police commissioner. The video of the girl slapping the young man on the arm went viral on social media.

Hussain, a native of Kasargod Kumbala, was arrested by the police. Hussain tried to molest a woman while she was traveling in a bus in Mangalore last Thursday. The girl was traveling from Pearlakatta near Mangalore to Pumpwell.

The girl complained to her fellow passengers and staff on the bus, but no one responded. As the harassment continued, the girl took a photo of Hassan. Hassan jokingly posed for the photo. The accused got off the bus after mocking the girl and thanking her for taking the photo. The girl later shared the incident via her Instagram account, including a photo of the accused. Subsequently, Mangalore Police Commissioner Sasikumar directed to find the accused.

Hasan, a native of Kasargod, was arrested during the ensuing investigation. Police are also investigating whether he has been involved in similar cases before. The Mangalore Police Commissioner said that there should be a change in the attitude of the passengers who did not react despite knowing the plight. He did not mean to take the law into his own hands.

It’s not four o’clock in the morning or ten o’clock in the evening. Such incidents should not happen in Mangalore where many tourists and students travel. The girl who reacted immediately to the incident is the model. However, the Mangalore police commissioner said that the irresponsibility of the passengers and the conductor was apparent.

When the arrested accused was produced before the media, an angry woman slapped the accused on the arm. Police lauded the girl for reacting to such incidents. The Mangalore Commissioner has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for the police team that nabbed the culprit.
