Just before 3 pm, Danish police report that a 14-year-old girl from Copenhagen has died as a result of the accident. A 13-year-old boy has suffered injuries to one hand as a result of the accident.
Relatives have been notified, East Jutland police inform, who call it a tragic accident.
It was around 12.50 on Thursday afternoon, the police were notified that several people were trapped as a result of an accident at the amusement park in the Danish city of Aarhus.
– The cause of the accident and the death will now be investigated through technical investigations and questioning of witnesses at the accident site. A massive investigation is underway at Tivoli Friheden, the police write in a press release.
A press conference about the accident will be held at 5 pm.

It was in the roller coaster named Cobra that the accident took place.
The cobra consists according to Århus Stiftstidende of a lorry of six rows with two seats each. The course must be 400 meters long, and the trip takes 100 seconds.
On its Facebook page, the amusement park writes that the accident took place while the track was in operation, and that the rear carriage broke off.

Anders Brix Christensen, operations manager at the fire service in East Jutland, told VG at 13.54 that one of the wagons had torn loose, and that several visitors were then trapped.
Jyllands-Posten writes that the carriages in the carousel were stopped between two and three meters above the ground, and that the fire brigade is working to get the other passengers safely down.
Dansk TV 2’s reporter states that all visitors to the park have been asked to leave Tivoli Friheden. He says that he heard a crash, and then saw that a carriage in the Cobra had torn loose.

Just before 2.30 pm, Tivoli Friheden signs on Facebook that they have gathered the injured relatives who were in the park, as well as all the guests who sat in the roller coaster.

Tivoli Friheden further writes that they do not have a full overview of the situation and that they do not yet know anything about the cause of the accident, but that they have called in knowledgeable personnel to investigate.
East Jutland police report on Twitter just after 2 pm that they are massively present, and that they are conducting their investigations.

Accident in 2008
In 2008, four people were transported to the hospital when a carriage detached from the same roller coaster on July 4, according to Danish TV 2.
The Tivoli director informs Ekstra Bladet that there will now be talk of a different car than the one that came loose last.

The Cobra has a top speed of 70 km / h, according to Danish TV 2.
