Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka was at the location when the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Wamenparekraf) Angela Tanoesoedibjo unsteady and then fell during an event at the Keraton Surakarta (Solo). How did Gibran respond at that time?
The incident occurred when Angela, Gibran and Pengageng Parentah of the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace, KGPH Dipokusumo gave a press statement launching the cultural attraction of the Surakarta Palace warriors in front of Kori Kamandungan Surakarta Palace, Saturday (6/11/2021).
At that time Angela was in the middle, Gibran on his right and Dipokusumo on his left.
When Dipokusumo was giving a press statement, suddenly Angela’s body swayed to the left or towards Dipokusumo. Gibran’s hand was about to help Angela, but Angela’s body pointed at Dipokusumo.
Suddenly Dipokusumo held Angela’s body from falling. Then the Surakarta Police Chief and the Surakarta Dandim along with a number of people behind carried Angela back.
By then the event was over. Dipokusumo had almost finished giving a statement.
According to the Deputy of Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani, that Angela is experiencing fatigue.
“He seems tired, we were also from the Atsiri House in Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. But it was also fine,” he told reporters after the incident, Saturday (6/11/2021).
Before fainting, Angela was unsteady and finally unable to maintain her balance and fell. Luckily, his body was caught by Pengageng Parentah Keraton Surakarta KGPH Dipokusumo, who was right next to him at that time.
At the time of the incident, Gusti Dipo was so familiar with being greeted while giving a press statement in front of the media crew. When the explanation was almost over suddenly, he found the body Wamenparekraf swayed and fell.
Without thinking, Gusti Dipo stopped his explanation and immediately caught Angela’s body. Suddenly, a number of officers and invited guests immediately arrived to provide assistance.
