Solo – Vice Presidential candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he had made preparations for the vice presidential debate. As is known, the vice presidential debate will be held next Friday.
However, Gibran was reluctant to talk much about preparations for the debate on Friday (22/12). The eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) seemed to be in a hurry to get into his official car.
“Yes, yes, it will be prepared later, thanks,” said Gibran at Solo City Hall, Thursday (14/12/2023).
When asked about special preparations before facing the debate with Mahfud Md and Muhaimin Iskandar, Gibran repeated his statement.
“(Special preparation?) Yes, everything will be prepared later, OK,” he concluded.
Reported Detik news, the KPU will hold a second debate on Friday (22/12/2023). This second debate is a vice presidential debate.
Previously, the inaugural debate was held on Tuesday (12/12) evening. The presidential debate lasted 120 minutes.
The KPU is currently starting to finalize the names of panelists for the second debate. Apart from that, the KPU is also determining the location for the second debate.
“There are already names, we just haven’t confirmed them yet. We will finalize them again according to the theme that will be proposed,” said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy’ari at the KPU office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/12) evening, quoted from Detik news.
“So we cannot confirm the names of the panelists who will be prepared by the KPU,” he continued.
