Gianluigi Paragone has founded a new party, “No Europe for Italy – Italexit con Paragone”

Gianluigi Paragone has founded a new political party called “No Europe for Italy – Italexit con Paragone”. The journalist and senator, elected with the M5S in 2018 but in the Mixed Group since last January after expulsion from movement, presented the new party during a press conference in the House. In founding manifesto the new political force defines itself as “the party of those who want to free our country from the cage of the European Union and the single currency” and among other things it aims to “recover monetary sovereignty”. Paragone said that his party is the first to believe “firmly in Italy’s exit from the European Union”.

During the press conference Paragone also announced that Monica Lozzi, president of the VII Municipality of Rome, has left the 5 Star Movement and will be the candidate of “No Europe for Italy – Italexit with Paragone” as mayor of Rome at the next administrative elections . Lozzi herself said that she will run for a civic list that will have no connection with other parties.
