Conchita Wurst won Eurovision in 2014 with the song “Rise Like a Phoenix”, and with her long dark hair, beard and dress, the artist took Europe by storm. When referring to herself as an artist, Conchita uses the pronoun “she”.

The 33-year-old believes that Conchita is a great role model for many, especially for the LGBTQ + community.
– We need more people who show that the gender role boxes have not been set. That there is no way to be a man, or a way to be a woman. There are many different ways, and everyone has their own way of expressing themselves, says Wigaard.

Wigaard says that he wants to be a role model himself, and show that men can wear dresses and that women can wear suits.

Tonight, Wigaard is fighting for the very last final place in MGP against Mari Bølla with the song «Your Loss», Maria Mohn with the song «Fly» and TrollfesT with the song «Dance Like a Pink Flamingo».
MGP expert Anders M. Tangen tells who he thinks will advance to the Norwegian final.
