The news comes a week after the start of the war in Ukraine.
Subsequently, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that it was initiated pre-trial proceedings for crimes against the Republic of Bulgaria by member 105, al. 1 from NK.
The investigation found that a Russian citizen enjoying diplomatic immunity, has carried out unregulated intelligence activities, incompatible with diplomatic relations, on the territory of the country.
The prosecutor’s office points out that this is also in contradiction with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. For this reason, the Prosecutor General has notified the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the data collected for taking action within his competence.
