Germany records nearly two hundred fatalities

Germany today announced an increase of 44 covid-19 fatalities in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 198, yet a low lethality rate compared to other countries.

According to data from the official website of the Robert Koch Institute, the entity responsible for disease prevention and control, the country confirms 36,508 infected individuals, with an increase of 4,954 compared to the previous day.

The regions of Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Baden-Württember remain the most affected, with 7,993, 7,924 and 7,283 cases respectively.
