German Parliament’s Decision on Transferring Taurus Missiles to Ukraine: Update on the Latest Development and Future Plans

“I just contacted my friends from the Bundestag about the news that the German parliament allegedly refused to transfer Taurus missiles to us. Everything turned out to be simpler,” Chernev said.

According to him, today the German parliament voted for a separate bill of part of the opposition, which it wanted to put to a vote without agreement with others.

The bill, according to him, was rejected due to a violation of procedure and an attempt to use this for narrow party PR.

“The plan to submit a joint bill of all factions to the Bundestag remains in force. Most likely, voting for it will take place before February 22. So, preparations for the “assault” of Scholz’s office (German Chancellor Olaf Scholz – ed.) continue,” Chernev emphasized .

What preceded

Let us remind you that yesterday, January 16, it became known that the Christian Democratic Union wants to bring to the Bundestag the issue of transferring the Taurus to Ukraine.

As the leader of the CDU faction Friedrich Merz noted, such missiles could help Ukraine push back Russian troops.
