German International Luca Waldschmidt Joins Cologne on Loan from Wolfsburg

Luca Waldschmidt has a new club in Germany. The striker was, this Tuesday, announced as reinforcement of Cologne on loan from Wolfsburg. The German international says goodbye to the «wolves», the formation that recruited him precisely from Benfica in 2021, after six goals in 37 games. It should be remembered that the 27-year-old striker played for Luz without much success in the 2020/21 season: he scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 43 games. After spells at Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, Hamburg, Benfica and Freiburg, Luca Waldschmidt will defend the colors of Cologne, ranked 11th in the Bundesliga in 2022/23.
