Düsseldorf/Münster. At the German Large Boat Championships (DGM) on Lake Aasee in Münster, two gold medals and one bronze medal went to racing communities (Rgm.) with the participation of the Germania Düsseldorf rowing club. Laurin Mückshoff was victorious in the lightweight four and also took bronze in the lightweight eight. Leonie Menzel won gold in the eighth.

After winning the preliminary heats in the lightweight foursome, Laurin Mückshoff and the Cologne/Leverkusen/Neuss racing community also achieved victory in the final. Silver went to the Rgm. Karlsruhe/Mannheim/Treis-Karden/Worms, bronze to the team from Hamburg. In the eight he won in Rgm. WSV Düsseldorf/Cologne/Krefeld/Neuss/Hürth bronze behind the Rgm. Leverkusen/Münster/Osnabrück and the Rgm. Leverkusen/Mülheim/Osnabrück/Nürtingen/Ulm/Mainz/Ludwigshafen. In the lightweight double sculls (change of discipline from straps to sculling), Laurin Mückshoff narrowly missed out on bronze with fourth place.

For Leonie Menzel there was also a change of discipline for the DGM. She finished eighth and won gold in Rgm. Neuss/Mainz before the Rgm. Regensburg/Bonn/Cologne/Krefeld/Leverkusen/Waltrop (silver) and the Rgm. Mannheim/Nürtingen/Ludwigshafen (Bronze).

This has no effect on the formation of the national team, the German small boat championships were decisive for this.
