GERB’s promise to finance the stadiums of Botev and Lokomotiv will appear in the country’s budget for 2024. This was stated by Boyko Borisov, who was visiting Rakovski, where a new kindergarten was opened.
“For the two stadiums, I have made a promise and we are acting in its full capacity. Asen Vasilev is aware of this, since such a strong promise has been made. Although I trust Vassilev, our demand is that every single project appears by name with the law that we will be looking at on Thursday. So that no one can take the mayor’s money. The Ring Road of Plovdiv will also be there,” said the GERB leader. We remind you that the Municipality of Plovdiv requested BGN 72 million for the two stadiums.
Borisov also stated that the most important structures in the state are the municipalities where people live. For this, GERB, PP – DB and DPS have put BGN 2 billion for municipal sites that have clear programs, construction permits and selected companies.
“On paper it may seem small, what is being funded, but when you see the streets, the plumbing projects, the kindergarten, the schools… It urbanizes the cities much better, where people can raise their children and take care of their old things. Do you remember what Rakowski looked like 15 years ago? The streets are muddy and gravelly, dirty, dark… Now what a pretty town it is!” said the GERB leader.
The new kindergarten in Rakovski is for 120 children, which is financed with funds from the state. In the new budget for the municipality, funds are also provided for the new sports hall.
Regarding the protest of social workers and those in public transport, Borissov said that we all have to pay the price of years of timelessness.
“We will pay for it bitterly. You remember the zero deficits and surpluses in those few years. Of course there will be protests and discontent. The debt is in the sky. The highways – three times more expensive, after 3 years of doing nothing, but dealing with sacks for several million, with which people paid the wages of the workers. Instead, you wasted time and billions of Bulgarians, we will pay the price for our stupidity”, said Borisov.
