After The Game Awards 2020 ?? and also most of this year’s game events ?? took place virtually, fans of electronic entertainment could fear that the situation would repeat itself. It seems, however, that the plans are different; journalist and game presenter Geoff Keighley announced today on Twitter announcement about this year’s gala. It is to be in exactly ten weeks? on Thursday 9 December ?? as an event ?? live ?? at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
What can we expect? Certainly, there will be plenty of prizes and presentations of the upcoming titles. Last year, the most nominations zgarnê³y The Last of Us 2 i Hadesbut this is Naughty Dog’s controversial production zdoby³a the most important statuette. Hi presented then the titles had already appeared (incl. Humankind, Returnal, It Takes Two, Nier Replicant i Road 96), others will be issued on days (eg. Back 4 Blood), and about some of them we learned basically nothing for a year (for example about the new installments of the series Mass Effect i Dragon Age). It is possible that the next portion of information about the latter games will be available at The Game Awards 2021.
Last year’s edition of the event waited 83 million transmissions worldwide, an 84% increase from 2019. In ten weeks we can count on at least 40 free streams ?? including Ultra HD resolution ?? which will take place via Twitch, YouTube and other popular platforms and social networks.
