Latin pop: Geneva singer Luis Pinto releases his first album
After two years of work in the studio, in parallel with his job as a nurse, the artist is proud to finally be able to present “Puerta 13”, composed of Latin pop and bachata titles.

When we first met him in 2018, Luis Pinto had just released his first single and dreamed of an international career. Now 28 years old, the Geneva artist is preparing to present his first album to the public. “Puerta 13” will be available on August 13, 2023.
What has changed for you in five years?
Lots of things. I assert myself much more. Musically, I focus on Latin pop and bachata. I participated in several festivals. Bachata opened a lot of doors for me.
What was the trigger for you to dare to assert yourself more?
It came little by little. During my first interview, I was starting, I had problems with a French youtuber (note: Seb la Frite who made fun of him in a video). I matured and told myself that if I stopped everything and no longer dared to do things, I would no longer live. I couldn’t allow myself to agree with people who criticize. I decided to take myself in hand and put together my little team.
How did you combine music and your job as a nurse?
Out of passion, I do everything (he laughs). During the preparation of the album, I sometimes left work at 8:30 p.m. and then went to the studio until 2 or 3 in the morning. I came home, slept two hours and went back to work. When you want something, you have to know how to make sacrifices.
How do you feel as the release of this record approaches?
I can’t wait, I’m excited. I’ve been working on it for two years and I’m finally going to be able to show everyone what I’ve done. We really worked on each title in detail. I’m glad to hear people’s reaction.
Have you thought about participating in telecrochets to make yourself known?
I have already been offered to do this. For the moment, I hesitate to perhaps try my luck at Eurovision, but I am not attracted by telecrochets. For the past two years, I’ve been focused on my album and I didn’t want any TV show to take me away from that goal.
