jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) Gatot Nurmantyo sees that the current war trend has changed from conventional to proxy.
This retired TNI general said that as a country it must anticipate this proxy war model.

“I am talking about proxy war which has become a tremendous threat to the sovereignty of a nation. State control by other forces no longer has to be physical but can use proxies,” said Gatot during a speech at the OUR Declaration at the Proclamation Monument, Central Jakarta. , Tuesday (18/8).
This former TNI commander gave an example, the proxy war could take the form of another country intervening in the election. Later the election will produce proasing officials.
“In time, these officials can be controlled, even become puppets for other interests which are not the objectives of the state’s interests,” said Gatot.
Another danger from this proxy war, according to Gatot, is the growth and development of the oligarchy. Power is played and certain groups manage and even monopolize the state. According to Gatot, it was the Indonesian people who would be disadvantaged in this position.
