Meanwhile, the “Our Lady of the Mountain Meeting” called on the Lebanese representatives to hold a public discussion session that clearly presents the legitimacy and feasibility of Hezbollah and its weapons remaining outside the Taif Agreement, the Constitution, and international resolutions, placing the representatives before a national responsibility for the necessity of protecting Lebanon from the danger of the Iranian occupation, which is openly undermining its sovereignty. He threatens its unity and entity, considering protecting Lebanon not only from Israel’s aggression against it, but also through withdrawing the pretexts that Israel uses to attack Lebanon. He addressed the Lebanese, saying, “We are facing a dangerous national moment, because Lebanon is threatened either by the Israeli war or by the Iranian-Israeli understanding regarding its independence.” .
In addition, during his visit to the Patriarchal edifice in Bkerke and his meeting with Patriarch Bechara al-Rai, Representative Farid Heikal Khazen stressed the necessity of accelerating the election of a president of the republic and finding ways to protect the military institution, stressing his openness to all possibilities that serve the interest of the military institution, with the exception of appointing a new army commander, in particular This must happen with the President of the Republic, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
