Gatot Nurmantyo et al. OUR Declaration: Against Jokowi, Oligarchy or What?

A number of national figures attended the Proclamation Monument today (18/8) to declare an action movement called the Action Coalition or abbreviated as US. Starting from the former general Gatot Nurmantyo, Prof. Din Syamsudin, Rocky Gerung, Suharto point to Amien Rais.

“We want this momentum for independence to remind (the state-ed),” said General Gatot in his remarks as the initiator of the US movement.

He also reminded about proxies war and biological weapons that might have the potential to destroy this country. What is meant by Covid-19? The TNI Commander neither confirmed nor denied. He actually reminded the government to be serious.

Yes, it is true. The government seems confused about this virus and its effects on society. However, there is something quite interesting in this general’s speech and there is the end of this paper.

Well, before going there, we are reminded by Prof. Din Syamsudin not to underestimate the movement this. Moreover, this is a moral movement and has spread throughout the country, even abroad.

This movement demands the government to pay more attention to the fate of the people, especially amid the threat of an economic recession to Covid-19. The following are the points of OUR demands:

1. Urge state administrators, especially the government, DPR, DPD and MPR to enforce state administration and management in accordance with (not deviating from) the spirit, spirit and values of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, which contains Pancasila which was stipulated on 18 August 1945, and reintroduced by Presidential Decree July 5, 1959.

2. Demand the government to seriously tackle the COVID-19 pandemic to save the Indonesian people by not allowing the people to save themselves, causing many victims by allocating adequate budgets, including directly helping the poor who are economically affected.

3. Demand that the government is responsible for overcoming the economic recession to save the poor, farmers and fishermen, teachers / lecturers, the nation’s own workers, MSMEs and cooperatives, and informal traders rather than defending the interests of large and foreign entrepreneurs.

4. Demand state administrators, especially the government and the DPR to improve law formation practices that deviate from the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. The government is demanded to stop chaotic and discriminatory law enforcement, eradicate law mafia, stop criminalizing political opponents, arrest and punish the looters of the country’s wealth.

5. Demand state administration to stop the system and practices of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN), as well as systems and practices of oligarchy, kleptocracy, dynastic politics and abuse / abuse of power.

6. Demand state administrators, especially the government, DPR, DPD and MPR not to provide opportunities for the rise of communism, other anti-Pancasila ideologies, and separatism and to stop the stigmatization of religious groups with issues of intolerance, radicalism and extremism as well as efforts to divide society. The same goes for urging the government to enforce a free and active economic and foreign policy policy, without leaning towards certain countries.

7. Demand the government to seriously and thoroughly investigate those who try to go through the constitutional route to change the State Basic Pancasila, as a real effort to overthrow the Republic of Indonesia as a result of the August 17 1945 Proclamation, so that similar efforts will not be repeated in the future.

8. Demand the president to be responsible in accordance with his oath and promise of office and urge state institutions (MPR, DPR, DPD and MK) to carry out their constitutional functions and powers in order to save the people, nation and state of Indonesia.

OUR eight demands are of course very contextual for this country. “This country is exacerbated by the development of an oligarchy of power, managed by a group of people and doing so under the mask of a constitution,” added General Gatot Nurmantyo, in his speech.

And, he also asked the participants of the declaration. “Is this really happening in our country?” The participants agreed in unison.

However, when it comes to General Gatot, when he talks about the oligarchy, it is better if he looks at Mother Titiek Soeharto who was present at the declaration. Why? Ah, you can answer yourself.
