Gates: The ChatGPT bot will change the world

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said Friday that he believes the popular chatbot, ChatGPT, will “change the world.”

The 67-year-old said in an effort to promote GBT chat, which has become a hot topic since its launch in late November, that the smart chatbot will make many office functions more efficient.

GBT Chat provides amazingly human-like responses, answering follow-up questions, acknowledging mistakes, challenging incorrect assumptions, and rejecting inappropriate commands. It can also write poems, code commands, and much more.

Gates said in interview With German Handelsblatt: “So far, AI can read and write, but it cannot understand the content. New software such as GPT Chat will make many office jobs more efficient by helping to write invoices or letters. This will change our world.”

During the summer of 2022, Gates met with Greg Brockman, president and co-founder of OpenAI, to review some upcoming AI products.

“The plan to make computers see, hear and write is what the entire industry is pursuing in the long run,” Gates said in a previous interview with Forbes. It’s always been very interesting to me. And so these machine learning techniques are starting to work very well, especially things related to speech and image recognition, I was amazed at how many more inventions we would need before AI was really smart, in the sense of passing tests and being able to type fluently.”

Speaking of OpenAI, Gates said he is more familiar with their work than others, and added: “What OpenAI has done is very impressive, and it is certainly a leader in many aspects of AI, which people are witnessing with the widespread launch of ChatGP. T”.

The massive success of GPT Chat has made it the fastest growing consumer web application in history.
