Gasoline prices may rise again

Taking into account the possible maximum markups, the cost of gasoline at the filling station can reach 30.82 hryvnia per liter.
The Ministry of Economy has published new calculations of the average cost of gasoline and diesel fuel, from which gas station networks can set their markup. Regular calculations as of June 1 were provided by Naftogaz, informs Ministry of Economy, Monday, June 14.
Estimated prices have been increased for gasoline from UAH 24.92 to UAH 25.82 per liter, and for diesel fuel from UAH 20.91 to UAH 22.09 per liter.
Thus, taking into account the possible maximum markups, the cost of gasoline at a filling station cannot exceed 30.82 hryvnia per liter, diesel fuel – 29.09 hryvnia per liter.
As a reminder, from May 15 Cabinet introduced state regulation of retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. The Cabinet of Ministers decree introduced a maximum retail mark-up of 5 hryvnia for gasoline and 7 hryvnia for diesel fuel.
According to the ruling, Naftogaz submits calculations to the Ministry of Economy on a monthly basis up to 1, 11 and 21 numbers.
