How much can you save on your bill? The answer is not trivial, because it depends on numerous variables. According to a simulation made for The economy from Facile.it – one of the leading price comparators in the energy, telephony and financial services market – the difference in spending between those who choose the best and the worst offer available on the market today for electricity and gas supplies could fluctuate, in the next 12 months, between 500 euros for a single person and over 3,500 euros for a family of four.The estimate takes into account a possible drop in prices, incorporated in the market forecasts on energy costs between now and October 2023: energy prices have already fallen. Last week, gas returned to around 100 euros per megawatt hour, less than a third of the peak of 339 euros traded on the Amsterdam stock exchange at the end of August. Electricity is also cheaper.
