The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will not offer an online alternative to the well-known games exchange E3. The organization says that PC Gamer. The fair was canceled in March due to the corona crisis.

“Due to the disruption from the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be presenting an online E3 event in June,” said ESA. “Instead, we work with exhibitors to promote and present individual company announcements.”
Several game publishers, such as Microsoft and Ubisoft, had previously announced that they would look into the possibilities of holding a separate online event themselves. Sony would not be present at E3 anyway.
Publishers often present new games and consoles at the game fair. This year would be an important moment, because the new game consoles Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will appear on the market in the autumn.
