It has been 25 years since the real-time strategy game “Age of Empires” was launched in mid-October 1997. Although two mobile games “Age of Empires: Castle Siege” and “Age of Empires: World Domination” are were launched under the name of the series, but most players think it is not faithful to the original and has nothing to do with the PC version of the fourth generation game.
The good news is that Microsoft has decided to launch a new Age of Empires mobile game and previously released a 25-second trailer announcing that Age of Empires Mobile is coming soon. There are no game interfaces or clips in the trailer, just a squad of soldiers and horses emerging from the city walls, rolling the sand. The only certainty at the moment is that Age of Empires Mobile will be developed by Microsoft’s World’s Edge, the studio responsible for the entire Age of Empires franchise.
Additionally, Microsoft has also announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will arrive on Xbox on January 31 next year, while Age of Empires IV will follow later next year. Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition, which includes the Malian and Ottoman civilizations and other new content, will be available later and the Age of Empires IV banner will be updated for free.
