According to the press service of the Fund for Support and Development of Kazakh Kures Qazaqstan Barysy, Nurdaulet Zharylgapov from the Mangistau region and the winner of the Asker Barysy tournament among law enforcement agencies, Galymzhan Kyrykbai, met in the final of the tournament. In a stubborn fight, Galymzhan Kyrykbay emerged victorious. He became the owner of the gold belt and 25 million tenge.
Mukhtar Dalelkhanuly from Pavlodar region and another winner of the Asker Barysy tournament Marat Baikamurov took the third place. The bronze belt went to a paluan from Pavlodar region.

Galymzhan Kyrykbay (Asker Barysy, 145 kilograms). He received 25 million tenge.
Nurdaulet Zharylgapov (Mangistau region, 155 kilograms). Prize: 5.5 million tenge.
Mukhtar Dalelkhanuly (Pavlodar region, 115 kilograms). Prize: 1.8 million tenge.
The Republican tournament “Kazakhstan Barysy – 2023” in Kazakh Kures was timed to coincide with the Day of the Capital. The strongest paluans, who passed the qualifying stages in the regions and reached the final of the tournament “Kazakhstan Barysy – 2023”, took part in the competition. The competition itself has been held on an ongoing basis since 2011 in order to develop and support the national sport – Kazakh Kures.
The regions are represented by a composition of two people who compete in the absolute weight category. The total number of participants this year is 41: two from each region, as well as the winners of the Asker Barysy tournament among law enforcement agencies and last year’s selection.
The tournament is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Akimat of Astana, Association of Kazakh kuresi and Fund for support and development of Kazakh kuresi Qazaqstan Barysy. The general partner of the tournament is FNB “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC. Also partners are the Sports Support Fund Sport Qory and JSC “Strong Star”.
