Galkin and Vaikuli visit the exhibition in the center of Riga

As you know, from 10 October it is possible to visit the personal exhibition of the well-known graphic artist Robert Koltsova “Rabbit Loops” in the gallery “Istaba”. In the exhibition – a selection of Koltsov’s large-format graphic works, paintings and sculptures. The artist attracted the exhibition for the next year-the year of the rabbit, promising that “there will be room for a cuddled rabbit” and presenting a calendar of his works on the day of the opening of the exhibition.

“Hare’s loops and the botanist predict and pave the way for Dragons and Unicorns, this is more or less the short and concise message of the exhibition. Next year coincided with the Botanical and Unicorn dialogue, which will be my exhibition in the fall. of 2023. In order for the pace to be regular and the rhythm to be maintained, an exhibition is underway and a calendar is being published “, says Koltsov, who has long defined himself as a botanist in his artistic expressions.

Roberts Koļtsovs graduated from Riga Applied Arts Secondary School, Sculpture (1987) and Graphics (1995) from the Latvian Academy of Arts. Member of the Union of Artists of Latvia (1994). Together with Aivars Vilipsons, he founded the association “Passive Decadence” in 1993. He regularly participates in exhibitions. Koltsovs created many interior paintings both in Latvia and abroad, created illustrations for books and print publications. The artist’s works can be found in private collections in Latvia and in many places around the world. This year he created the logo for the revamped Ågenskalns market.

Previously, Galkin shared a video from the Baltic Sea coast, saying that he will soon perform in Lithuania.

We remind you that Galkin was one of the first Russian artists to clearly express his position against the war in Ukraine. In mid-September he was declared a “foreign agent” in Russia.
