Samsung’s new Galaxy S20 family is now also available in Switzerland. Prices for the new flagship models, all of which are also available in 5G versions, start at around CHF 900.
The smartphone models in the Gallaxy S20 series are available immediately from Swiss retailers. All smartphones are available in 5G versions and have an Exynos 990 octo-core processor and 128 GB of memory that can be expanded to 1 TB via an SD card slot. Support for ax-WLAN and Bluetooth 5.0 as well as a fingerprint scanner is also available here and there.
The model S20 comes with a 6.2-inch display, 8 GB RAM and a 4000 mAh battery. Also on board is a 64 megapixel rear camera and a front camera with a resolution of 10 MP. The S20 + model differs in that it has a larger display (6.7 inches) and a more powerful battery with 4500 mAh. The Ultra version is only available with 5G support and has a 6.9-inch display, 12 GB RAM and a 5000 mAh battery. The cameras of the S20 Ultra are also significantly higher resolution: the main camera delivers a resolution of 108 megapixels, while the rear camera still offers 40 megapixels.
Samsung recommends a price of just under CHF 900 for the S20, and CHF 100 more for the 5G version. The plus model costs around 1000 francs and correspondingly 1100 francs in the 5G version. The S20 Ultra is finally available from CHF 1350.
