Samsung announced today (23rd) that its Galaxy devices will extend the time limit for regular security updates. Devices launched after 2019, including Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab series tablets, will benefit from relevant policies. After that, you can enjoy at least four years of regular security update guarantee.
Galaxy devices have previously enjoyed a two-year security support commitment. Although some high-end products will still be updated in the third year, the frequency usually drops, changing from monthly to quarterly. Samsung recently announced that it will extend the annual security update guarantee for Galaxy devices to 4 years to further extend the security support for Galaxy devices, so that users can feel at ease during use.
Samsung said that in the past, it is committed to simplifying and accelerating its regular security updates. After working closely with its operating system, chip partners, and more than 200 telecommunications providers around the world, it will ensure that billions of Galaxy devices can be used.
