The closer we get to the launch of the RTX 40 series, the more leaks begin to appear. The latest in the line is the Galax RTX 4090 Serious Gaming, whose design has now caught on.
Galax Serious Gaming is the company’s cheapest product line. Above this in the hierarchy we find, for example, the Hall of Fame (HoF) which often includes graphics cards that manage to reach the absolute top in synthetic performance tests and the like. Now, in any case, the design of the RTX 4090 in Serious Gaming format has remained in the picture and Galax seems to have taken control of the temperatures of the upcoming flagship seriously.
If we take a look at the leaked design, it’s pretty obvious that it’s really tough. The drive itself occupies four expansion slots and is equipped with four fans. Three of the fans are located on the front of the graphics card and a fourth is visible on the back. Something that not only indicates that upcoming graphics cards can get very hot, but also that the length of the PCB in the RTX 4090 can be kept relatively short.
The Galax RTX 4090 Serious Gaming appears to be powered by a 16-pin PCIe connector, and the keen eye also notices that we don’t see any connection for Nvidia’s NVLink.
Nvidia is expected to launch the new generation of graphics cards on October 22nd. It remains to be seen whether we will see the Galax 4090 models among the first to be released.
