G7+ Ministers to Discuss Support for Ukraine’s Energy Infrastructure – Meeting with Latvia and Ukraine Foreign Ministers

On November 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš will participate in the video meeting of the G7+ foreign ministers, where the planned support for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure will be discussed.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, will also take part in the meeting, who will inform those present about the current situation in the field of energy in Ukraine and the challenges of this winter.

The G7+ format of foreign ministers was established in early November 2022 to coordinate support for Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and humanitarian needs. The US State Department took the initiative to coordinate the G7+ format. Currently, the G7 countries – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the USA – as well as Ukraine, the Baltic States, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, Norway, Sweden, the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the UN are participating in it.
