Fundraising Campaign for Freya Sleeping Walrus Statue | Abroad

Walrus Freya built his name and fame by landing on boats in different European ports and sometimes even sinking them. He also frequented the hull of the Dutch submarine Zr.Ms. Dolfijn, and frequented, amongst others, the ports of Den Helder and Harlingen. He mobilized masses of men and women who desired to be photographed with Freya. Considering that all this focus would have stressed the animal, the authorities determined to set Freya to slumber. This occurred just after they called several situations – unsuccessfully – to leave Freya on your own.
