The transfer of Al-Ahly’s player, Ahmed Fathi, to the Pyramids ranks, has developed rapidly in the last hours.
A source in exclusive statements to “Masrawy” said that the Pyramids club had terminated its agreement with Ahmed Fathi, so that the player would get the contractor, after he rejected Al-Ahly’s offer to renew two seasons and obtain 11 million pounds in taxes per season.
The source returned to clarify that the Pyramids administration demanded Fathi to rescind the contract concluded between them, and this was due to the desire of the Croatian coach, Anti Cacic.
He hinted that the Croatian coach rejected the deal for what he described as “an older player.”
A source explained to “Masrawy” that a number of mediators are trying to persuade Mahmoud Al-Khatib, head of Al-Ahly Club, to pardon the player and return negotiations between the red giant, and Fathi, to renew his contract.
Turki Al-Sheikh, honorary president of Al-Ahly, and former owner of the Pyramids Club, wrote two mysterious letters during the recent period.
