Fuel shortage in France increases due to strike by oil giant TotalEnergies, President Macron calls for calm

Due to the scarcity in France, Belgian gas stations in the border region are currently doing business in gold. With us there are no problems with the supply, says Johan Mattart of the Brafco fuel federation. Much more goods are currently destined for the border region.

For gas station owners, additional sales are welcome, says Mattart. As petrol and diesel had gotten much cheaper in France than in Belgium, they have seen hardly any customers in recent weeks. Now they can recover those losses.
