There are many ways to do the Santiago’s road, but of course the one that a neighbor of Tomelloso has proposed is original at best; in a Mobylette from the late 80s.
The protagonist is Luis Gigante, who has a collection of around 100 motorcycles of this type, who set himself this challenge during confinement: travel the nearly 900 kilometers that separate the town of La Mancha with Santiago de Compostela.
And why a Mobylette, a motorcycle of about 50 cubic centimeters and that barely exceeds a speed of 50 kilometers per hour … highlights that this type of vehicle is an icon of Tomelloso.
In principle you will complete the tour in three stages: began andOn Sunday and this Tuesday at noon he hopes to arrive at the Cathedral of Santiago. Once this goal is reached, he will travel to Orense where he and his motorcycle will take a transport and return to Tomelloso.
A challenge that he liked so much that does not rule out repeating in coming summers and even do it in a group of motorcycles.
