With his first album, Bleach (1989), Nirvana did not conquer the world. The trio was not ready yet. But on some titles, like About a girlthe Kurt Cobain band was already showing its ability to write memorable songs.

This is where everything changes. In September 1991, Nirvana published the huge Nevermind. An album that buries everything that came before – the synthetic sound of the 80s, hard-rock then fashionable – and launches a new era and an ephemeral fashion: grunge.

But despite the passage of time, Nevermind remains an essential record, an indelible musical marker. The album will also be reissued on May 27, in a huge box set of eight vinyls, with many bonus concerts.

With the album MTV Unplugged, Nirvana shows a more sensitive facet of his music. With, again, a huge success at the key. This cover of Leadbelly served as an eye-opener for a whole generation.
