Conner Rousseau, chairman of Vooruit, believes that the N-VA is sabotaging federal policy. According to him, by refusing a permit for the gas-fired power plant in Vilvoorde, the risk that there will be a shortage of electricity increases and that energy prices rise even more.
Rousseau is not impressed by the argument of Flemish Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir that the nitrogen emissions from the gas-fired power plant would be too high: “There were positive advice from the administration: people are looking for a stick to beat with.”
