“War bulletin from London. Let’s not waste time, please.” Roberto Burioni writes this by relaunching, on Twitter, the post of a doctor who reports the serious difficulties of the Royal London Hospital in managing the Covid emergency. “We are in ‘disaster medicine’ mode and are no longer able to provide high quality care,” Burioni writes, translating the alarming hospital message reported by the doctor.
In Great Britain, there have been over 53,000 new cases and 613 deaths from Covid in the last 24 hours. The number of victims is one of the highest since last April, after the record recorded in recent days of 981 deaths. In London, the epicenter of the crisis and struggling with the most contagious variant of the Coronavirus, in the last 24 hours there have been over 15 thousand confirmed cases of Covid.
