From iPhone 13 Pro Green to M1 Ultra, Check Out Apple Event 2022 Summary

APPLE announced a number of its newest products and chipsets at the Peek Performance event, Tuesday (8/3). Some of the products launched include the iPhone SE 2022 5G with the A15 Bionic chipset, the iPhone 13 Pro in the alpine green color variant, as well as a new desktop Mac aimed at creative professionals and external monitors with prices starting from USD 5,000 or around Rp. 71.96 million.

1. Chipset Apple M1 Ultra

Apple announced its lineup of chipsets with the presence of the M1 Ultra which basically combines two M1 Max chipsets together, supporting up to 128GB of RAM. Apple claims it’s eight times faster than the standard M1 chip. The M1 Ultra will be available on Mac Studio and possibly on the Mac Pro which will be announced at an upcoming event. The M1 Ultra is priced from USD 3,999 or around IDR 57 million.

2. Mac Studio

Mac Studio is the latest entry in Apple’s Mac lineup that’s basically like a Mac Mini for creative professionals with lots of input/output (four Thunderbolt ports and an SD card slot on the front), cooling, and processing power. The M1 Max version is priced starting at USD 1,999 or around IDR 28 million.

3. Apple Studio Display 5K 27-inch and has an iPhone chip

This Studio Display supports 5K screen resolution and measures 27 inches which is wrapped in an aluminum case. The display can achieve up to 600 nits of brightness, supports P3 wide color, and works with macOS’ TrueTone feature.

At the top there is a 12 MP ultrawide camera, supported by the A13 Bionic chipset, three-way mic support, to a six-speaker sound system that supports spatial audio. This monitor can be ordered now with prices starting at USD 1,599 or around Rp. 22 million and will ship on March 18th.

4. iPhone SE 2022 with A15 Bionic support

This latest iPhone SE will be supported by the latest A15 Bionic chipset which is also embedded in the iPhone 13 Series. Interestingly, this smartphone is sold at a cheaper rate starting at USD 429 or around Rp. 6.17 million.

iPhone SE 2022 comes with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB memory variants, as well as Midnight, Starlight, and Red product color variants.

5. iPad Air Chipset M1

A year and a half after its last update, the iPad Air is now powered by the M1 chipset, an ultra-wide front camera, and 5G connectivity. This latest chip has an eight-core CPU, promising 60 percent faster performance than the previous generation iPad Air. This device is marketed starting at USD 599 or around Rp. 8.5 million with a choice of 64GB and 256GB memory capacities.

6. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro in green

This announcement is arguably the most attention-grabbing because Apple presents the latest color variant, namely Alpine Green. According to Apple’s VP of Product Marketing Bob Borchers, these new colors give customers more choice when choosing an iPhone. (and)
