First EV in 2025
Bentley the brand of purely models with powerful eight and twelve cylinders? Forget it. Bentley announces a strong focus on electrification and that goes hand in hand with the arrival of a full range of all-electric models!

Bentley indicates in a presentation that it is increasingly focusing on electrification. Next year, the brand will launch two new plug-in hybrids. Most likely it concerns plug-in versions of both the Bentayga and the Flying Spur. The Bentayga already existed before the SUV was facelifted a plug-in hybrid version. That the this year redesigned Bentley Bentayga if plug-in hybrid becomes available, it therefore seems a logical step.
It does not stop with plug-in hybrid models. Bentley says that will come with a complete family of electric models, cars that may be placed on the J1 platform of the Volkswagen Group. We know this basis from the Porsche Taycan and will soon be used by the Audi e-tron GT, among others. Bentley also makes a very promising promise. The brand not only says that the first all-electric Bentley will be on the market in 2025, Bentley immediately promises that it will only offer plug-in hybrids and fully electric models from 2026. In 2030, the brand will no longer produce any combustion engines at all and the range will therefore only consist of electric cars. From that year on, the brand also wants to be completely climate neutral. This also includes the production process.
Bentley also indicates that the personalization department Mulliner will play a greater role. According to Bentley, the department will make more frequent use of ecologically sound materials, just like Bentley itself. The pictured Bentley EXP 100 GT, a study model that Bentley presented in the middle of last year, was already cluttered with such materials. In addition, Mulliner often goes exclusive and small series limited models like the Bacalar to make.
