When out of the Fritz boxes differs AVM always two appointments. Of the EOM – “End of Maintenance” (in German: discontinuation of further development) describes the day on which the Fritzbox no longer receives updates or patches. However, customers can still use the router and rely on AVM to help with questions and problems. That changes with that EOS – “End of Support”, ie the end of support for the FritzBox.-
Fortunately for the users: Usually the end of the support is after the actual date. AVM normally guarantees at least five years for the life cycle of a Fritzbox. If this ends beforehand, it is more a reminder to the user that an upcoming change to a more modern FritzBox is imminent.
