French Prime Minister’s home and office searched for Covid-19 crisis management – Abroad – News

The broadcaster BFMTV and other French media reported that searches had also taken place in the homes and offices of Health Minister Olivier Veran and former Health Minister Agnese Buzina.

The current prime minister, Jean Castex, said he “fully” supported Verana in answering a question at a press conference about the search.

“I can assure you that he has always been on the front lines, (..) without saving time or his great competence,” the prime minister said.

It has already been reported that a special court in France decided in the summer to open an investigation against three current or former government ministers for their actions in managing the new coronavirus crisis.

In July, President Emanuel Macron removed Philip for three years as prime minister. The center-right Philip, who has repeatedly been at the forefront of public opinion polls as France’s most popular politician since his resignation, is now mayor of the port city of Le Havre.

Covid-19 patients, doctors, prison staff, police officers and others in France have filed dozens of lawsuits in recent months in the Republican court, particularly over the lack of face masks and other equipment during the spread of the coronavirus.
