Most of the world’s companies, in protest against the war started by Russia in Ukraine, have stopped their business in Russia, but the manufacturer “Danone” does not. “Danone” will continue its activities in the territory of the aggressor, but will change the brand name, it is reported Unian.net.
According to the company’s statement, “Activia” yogurts will be sold in Russia under the new name “AktiBio”. Representatives of the Danone company stated that the changes will only affect the brand name and packaging design. All products will be produced according to the same quality and safety standards, with the same taste characteristics, in the same production facilities.
“The international localization of the brand will allow the company to resume investments in the development of the modern dairy product category, which will have a significant impact on the development of the entire modern dairy product category in Russia,” writes Danone’s website.
“Danone” is a French food company, a well-known manufacturer of dairy products and other food products.
Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Danone was the leader in the production of dairy products in the Russian Federation. The company has been working in Russia for the past 30 years and is represented by such brands as “Prostokvashino”, “Activia”, “Actimel”, “Rostishka”, “Danissimo”, “Danone”, “Bio Balance”, “Aktual”, “Smeshariki” , Alpro, Bebelac, Theme, Nutrilon, Baby and Evian.
