It has been “leaking” around the next-gen consoles lately. We still don’t know the price or release date of both consoles, but it seems that French department store Carrefour accidentally shared the information.
It Franse phonandroid reports that last weekend Carrefour had a pre-order site online for both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. The site of the French department store has since been updated, but a number of screenshots have been made to confirm the price.
As you can see in the image above, a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition should cost 399 euros and the PlayStation 5 Standard Edition (with disc) 499 euros. In addition to these prices of the consoles, the prices of the accessories have also been leaked. For example, a DualSense controller should cost about 50 euros.
Remarkably, Phonandroid reports that the Xbox Series X will cost 100 euros less than the PlayStation 5. There is no screenshot of this, so there is an even greater uncertainty than these leaked prices.
As always with the price news, it has not been confirmed at this time that this will be the price of the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. We will have to wait for an official message from both Sony for the PlayStation 5 price and Microsoft for the Xbox Series X price.
