Since the beginning of April, the city and the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald have merged with their two emergency preparedness offices and are now working in a common team. There, under high pressure, the needs are collected and the urgently required protective materials are procured. The central coordination and distribution to the clinics and nursing homes takes place there in accordance with medical needs in close coordination with the health department.
A large supply of so-called FFP2 masks has now arrived in Freiburg, which the joint emergency preparedness officer of the city of Freiburg and the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald ordered.
Mayor Martin Horn and District Administrator Dorothea Störr-Ritter were delighted with the first delivery: “In this difficult crisis, it is necessary to join forces. Our two emergency preparedness offices therefore coordinate the procurement and distribution of urgently required protective equipment. Our goal was to secure the Easter weekend. ”
